Live setup
Reshape works with Ableton Live 12 or later on a Mac, through a small Live script. Here's what Live needs, and how to take it out again.
The Live script
Reshape talks to Live through a Live script, a Control Surface, which runs inside Live. It works with Ableton Live 12 or later; Live 11 and earlier aren't supported. You don't need Max for Live.
Click Install the Live script in Reshape's window. It copies the script into your Live User Library, in Remote Scripts/TranceToolsReshape. Live loads its scripts only when it starts, so restart Live after installing.
Choosing the Control Surface
In Live, open Live > Settings (Cmd+,) and go to Tempo & MIDI (Link, Tempo & MIDI in earlier versions of Live 12). In an empty Control Surface slot, choose TranceToolsReshape. Leave Input and Output on None.

Using TranceTools Spark or Arrange too? Each has its own Control Surface. Set them in different slots and they all work at once.
After an update
A new version of Reshape may come with a new Live script. Reshape checks which script Live is running, and if it's out of date, it says so instead of letting the dial loose on it:
- This app has an updated Live script: click Install the Live script below, then restart Live.
- Restart Live to load the updated TranceTools Reshape script. (Live is still running the older copy.)

Uninstalling
- In Live's Settings, set the Control Surface slot back to None.
- Delete TranceTools Reshape from Applications.
- In your Live User Library, delete the Remote Scripts/TranceToolsReshape folder.
- To remove your licence and settings too, delete ~/Library/Application Support/TranceTools Reshape. Deactivate first if you want to free the Mac's seat.
Clips you've reshaped keep their notes: they're ordinary Live clips.
